Shotgun Events & Range Details
Several NESSCI ranges are certified for a variety of shotgun events. A newly completed skeet range provides three firing positions.
IPSC Shotgun Events — These matches are shot using any 12 g or 20 g bolt, lever or straight-pull action single or double-barrel shotgun. Paper targets can be fixed, moving, bobbing or swinging with competitors using buckshot or solid loads, or metal reaction targets that fall to score using any birdshot load. Distances range from 2 m out to approximately 80 m. The stages start at various firing positions, and are scored by Comstock scoring. Ammunition is power factored to major calibre only.
